Your safari begins in Mwanza, a vibrant city on the shores of Lake Victoria. After meeting your professional guide, you begin your journey toward Serengeti National Park, enjoying a scenic drive through rural landscapes before reaching Ndabaka Gate, the western entry point to the park.
As you enter the Serengeti, wildlife sightings begin almost immediately. This western corridor is known for the Grumeti River, home to some of the largest Nile crocodiles in the ecosystem. The area also supports elephants, lions, zebras, and various antelope species.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, then continue with an afternoon game drive as you make your way toward Central Serengeti. By evening, arrive at your tented camp for dinner under the African sky.
Start your day early with a morning game drive in Central Serengeti — the heart of the park and one of the best wildlife viewing areas in Africa. As the sun rises, predators such as lions and leopards are often still active, providing excellent sighting opportunities.
The vast plains are home to large herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, and giraffes, as well as a variety of bird species. Your guide will navigate through different habitats, tracking wildlife movements to maximise your experience.
Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot such as Naabi Hill Gate, offering panoramic views across the endless plains. The afternoon continues with further game viewing before returning to camp for dinner.
After an early breakfast, depart Serengeti and travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey itself offers additional wildlife sightings as the landscape transitions from open plains to lush highlands.
Upon arrival, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater — one of Africa's most remarkable natural wonders. This massive caldera hosts a dense population of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, and the rare black rhino.
