Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transferred to the airport for your flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, your professional safari guide will meet you for a briefing before beginning your journey to Tarangire National Park.
The drive takes you through scenic landscapes featuring Maasai villages, open plains, and baobab-dotted countryside. Upon entering Tarangire, your game drive begins immediately, offering sightings of elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and predators such as lions and leopards. After a picnic lunch inside the park, you continue with an afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay in the Manyara region.
After breakfast, you depart for the Northern Serengeti, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with scenic views of the crater and surrounding highlands. The journey itself offers wildlife sightings along the way, especially as you move through transitional safari zones.
A picnic lunch is enjoyed en route before continuing deeper into the Serengeti ecosystem. By evening, you arrive in the Northern Serengeti — the heart of the Great Migration — where massive herds of wildebeest and zebras gather near the Mara River.
Today is fully dedicated to exploring the Mara River region. Early morning and full-day game drives give you the best chance to witness the Great Migration in action, including dramatic river crossings.

The Central Serengeti region is known for its year-round wildlife density, especially predators. By late afternoon, you arrive at your camp for dinner and overnight stay in the heart of Serengeti.
You begin the day with an early morning game drive in Central Serengeti, enjoying the final moments in the park. This is a great time to spot predators before they retreat from the morning heat. After brunch, you exit Serengeti and drive toward the Ngorongoro Highlands, with game viewing en route.
The landscape gradually changes from open plains to lush highlands and cooler climates. You arrive in the Karatu area in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
After an early breakfast, you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most wildlife-dense areas in Africa, offering chances to see the Big Five in a single location. The crater is home to elephants, lions, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and the rare black rhino.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch near a hippo pool before continuing your game drive. In the afternoon, you ascend the crater and begin your transfer back to Arusha for your flight connection to Zanzibar, marking the end of your safari experience.
