Overview
Mount Meru, standing at 4,565 meters, is one of Tanzania’s most scenic trekking destinations and an excellent introduction or warm-up for Mount Kilimanjaro. Located within Arusha National Park, this 3day trek offers a rare combination of dramatic volcanic landscapes, lush forests, and abundant wildlife. Unlike many mountain climbs, Mount Meru begins as a walking safari, where trekkers may encounter giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and other wildlife along the trail. The route is fully supported by professional mountain guides, an armed ranger for safety, and a private cook, ensuring a secure and well-supported adventure to the summit.
