DETAILED ITINERARY

Arrival Day: Welcome to Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your private safari guide and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha.

Take time to relax and recover from your journey while settling into the surroundings. Your guide will provide a short briefing about your upcoming safari experience.

We recommend arriving at least one day before the safari begins to ensure a smooth and relaxed start. Your safari adventure will begin the following day.

Day 1: Tarangire National Park – A Gentle Introduction

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a relaxed game drive with opportunities to see lions, giraffes, zebras, and diverse birdlife.

The pace is flexible, with time for photography and family-friendly stops.

Overnight: Mid-range lodge near Tarangire National Park

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park – Forest & Lakeside Wildlife

Journey to Lake Manyara National Park, set dramatically below the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Explore lush forests, lakeshore habitats, and open plains filled with wildlife.

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided cultural experience in Mto wa Mbu village, offering insight into local life and traditions.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park – Journey into the Plains

Depart early and travel toward Serengeti National Park, entering one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife ecosystems. Enjoy game viewing en route as the landscape opens into endless savannahs.

Arrive in the Serengeti for an afternoon game drive before settling into your lodge or tented camp.

Overnight: Lodge or tented camp in Central Serengeti

Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Full-Day Game Drives

Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti plains. Morning and afternoon game drives offer excellent chances to see lions, elephants, cheetahs, and large herbivore herds moving across the savannah.

Your guide will adjust routes based on wildlife movement to maximize sightings.

Overnight: Lodge or tented camp in Central Serengeti

Day 5: Ngorongoro Highlands – Scenic Transition

After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and enjoy a scenic drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Optional game viewing along the route as you exit the plains.

Arrive in the Ngorongoro Highlands in the afternoon and relax at your lodge overlooking the crater area. This is a peaceful evening to unwind and prepare for the final safari highlight.

Overnight: Lodge on or near Ngorongoro crater rim

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Into the Wild → Return to Arusha

Descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive in one of Africa’s most concentrated wildlife areas. Expect excellent chances of seeing the Big Five in a stunning natural amphitheatre.

After the game drive, return to Arusha in the afternoon, marking the end of your safari adventure.
