DETAILED ITINERARY



Arrival Day: Welcome to Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your private safari guide and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha.

Take time to relax and recover from your journey while settling into the surroundings. Your guide will provide a short briefing about your upcoming safari experience.

We recommend arriving at least one day before the safari begins to ensure a smooth and relaxed start. Your safari adventure will begin the following day.

 

Day 1: Arusha National Park – Soft Wildlife Introduction

After breakfast, depart from Arusha for a relaxed game drive in Arusha National Park.

This scenic park offers a gentle introduction to your safari, with sightings of giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and colobus monkeys across forest, open plains, and the Momella Lakes.

Enjoy a comfortable pace with time for photos and wildlife viewing before returning to your lodge in the afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Elephant Safari Experience

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees.

Enjoy a full-day game drive along the Tarangire River, where wildlife concentrates especially during dry seasons. Expect elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and rich birdlife in a dramatic savannah setting.

Picnic lunch inside the park enhances the full safari experience before returning to your lodge.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Rift Valley Exploration

Travel to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse park set at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

Explore groundwater forests, open plains, and lakeshore habitats that attract hippos, flamingos, baboons, and tree-climbing lions (seasonal sightings). The scenery changes dramatically within short distances, making it a visually rich safari day.

In the afternoon, optionally visit Mto wa Mbu for a cultural interaction with local communities.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Journey into the Plains

After breakfast, drive toward Serengeti National Park, passing through highlands and wildlife corridors before entering the vast Serengeti ecosystem.

Enjoy your first afternoon game drive across the endless plains, where lions, elephants, giraffes, and large herbivore herds roam freely. This is your introduction to the Serengeti’s scale and raw wilderness.

Overnight in a lodge or tented camp inside the park.

Day 5: Serengeti – Full Game Viewing Day

Spend a full day exploring different regions of the Serengeti with your guide, following wildlife movement and predator activity.

Depending on the season, you may witness large herds of wildebeest, zebra migrations, or predator interactions including lions and cheetahs.

Optional Experience:

Hot air balloon safari at sunrise over the Serengeti plains (additional cost)

Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Serengeti Morning Safari → Ngorongoro Highlands

Enjoy a final early morning game drive in the Serengeti before slowly exiting the park.

Travel through the scenic transition zone toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with optional wildlife viewing along the route.

Arrive at your lodge on or near the crater rim in the afternoon and relax while enjoying sweeping views over the highlands.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Big Five Safari & Return

Descend early into Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive in one of Africa’s most concentrated wildlife habitats.

Spot elephants, buffalo, lions, hippos, and possibly the rare black rhino in a dramatic volcanic landscape.

After your safari, ascend the crater walls and journey back to Arusha, marking the end of your journey.
